No. We are fully licensed and specialise in boutique Australian wine.
Yes, within reason. At busy times we ask you have patience and do your best to make it easy for us to split - i.e. every person have an amount to pay or split evenly across the table - splitting by item is not feasible at busy times. For big groups wanting to split we suggest buying drinks at the bar and bringing in correct change to pay for your food.
No. We don't take bookings for the deck as it is not covered or heated and we can't predict the weather. If you would like to sit out there please note it on your booking but we cannot guarantee that your table will be outside.
Yes we do allow larger bookings at Snack Man - groups of 10 and above can book for a meal or just drinks - email us at eat@snack-man.com to secure a spot.
That said the venue is predominantly walk-in and has plenty of space. If you are planning a dinner at Happy Boy we have spaces at Snack Man we preferentially hold for big groups. If you'd like to come to Snack Man before your booking, or after, mention this in your booking notes. These spots do go quickly, so it is first in first served - we will confirm via phone call if we can accommodate your request.
Due to high demand we offer two sittings at night. Two person tables are allocated 90 minutes while groups of 4 and above have 2 hours. Bookings in the first sitting are available starting at 500, 515, 530, 545, 600, 615 OR 630. Second sittings are available starting at 700 onwards.
Yes. For any group of 10 or above we require you to partake in our Chef's Banquet and also will ask for a $20pp prepayment to secure the booking.
We have a $45 chef's banquet which includes an array of our favourite dishes matched to your tables preferences and dietary requirements. It will include a selection of entrees, mains and fried rice - it is very generous and we can guarantee no one will walk away hungry.
NB. The Chef varies the banquet for every table - WE DO NOT HAVE A SET BANQUET MENU. We do this because every table is different and we pride ourselves in catering for your particular preferences and requirements.
NB. You can always request one or two favourites and the chefs will take this into account when creating your banquet - however, some requests may not be possible on the night.
We think the banquet is the best way to enjoy Happy Boy but if you are in with a large group at lunch and want to order a la carte we understand (very large groups ie. over 18pax will still need to order the banquet). However, so as to make it manageable for us we request the following. A pre-order by 10am the day of your booking and if you are ordering separately (not sharing) then the organiser should make it clear to the whole group that all dishes may not arrive all at once.
Yes. We take dietary requirements seriously. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan are all part of our standard menu but we can cater for nearly all requirements if you give us notice. The kitchen does contain allergens so let us know if you have a serious allergic reaction to anything.
Yes. We charge a $10 per table cakeage fee and ask you still keep to your sitting time.
East, Bridge and Church Streets have lots of street parking. Ann and Wickham Streets have even more but watch out for clearways on weekdays till ~7pm.
Yes we do… But it can become expensive to have the whole restaurant exclusively - email us with details and we can go from there. Snack Man next door is great for groups up to 110 as well - they are contactable on eat@snack-man.com
